Meet The owner
When I graduated college in 2017, I just wanted to do something that wasn’t sitting at a desk all day. I moved to St. Paul and started as an installer at a solar company. This move I made on a whim really opened my eyes to how much I enjoyed working in the electrical field. I loved working with my hands, thinking about how to do things better and more quickly, and looking back on what I’d done that day and feeling the sense of accomplishment and gratitude.
I worked in St. Paul for three and half years before an opportunity came up to move to Duluth and work for a much smaller company. They install solar, but also generators and battery backup systems. Going out to cabins in the woods was a series of incredible adventures. We had to problem-solve on the fly and go above and beyond to get the customer what they needed in addition to what they requested. While I lived there, I got my journeyman and master electrician licenses.
After all that I felt the desire to move back to North Dakota. All of my oldest friends still live here, and I wanted to be closer to my family. I took a job helping to wire a new hospital in Grand Forks, but I missed meeting and talking with customers, thinking about solving my own problems at work, and going to new and interesting projects every day. So I left that, and with a little encouragement from my friends, I founded Prosperity Electric. I’m looking forward to working directly with all my customers and giving them the exact solution they need to their problem, whether it was what was planned originally or not.
